Guide to answer Writing Test Yourself F English 12
In recent years women’s role has changed dramatically in comparison with that 50 years ago. The changes are explicitly seen in many sectors .
Firstly, in education, women nowadays are well educated, that is they can enjoy the benefits of education in every level. Women are not confined in the walls of the family with childbearing or childrearing. They participate in almost every area of public life. Many women have gained the high ranks in social or governmental sector. As a result of this women no longer depend economically on their husbands or families.
In addition, they do not worry about the number of children thanks to new thoughts on lifestyle. At present people no more see a family of very many children, six or more. And domestic chores are not a burden for women because they are done by machine. Consequently women at present can promote themselves in social life much more easily.

Although men may know more about diapering babies and vacuuming floors than his father did, but women are still doing most of housework and child rearing.
When men and women are asked who is spending long hours cleaning and tidy up, women are still far ahead of men.
In 2006, 87.9 per cent of men said they shared housework from their wives, up from 84.4 per cent in 1996.
The proportion of women spend 30 hours a week or more on unpaid housework fell to 19.8 per cent in 2006 from 24.6 per cent in 1996.
According to a 2005 report from Statistics Canada, men spent 2.5 hours a day on unpaid work around the house, as soon as women averaged 4.3 hours.
Exercise 2: Read the passage carefully and choose the correct answer.
A trend in women's change in attitude to work and home life roles has launched because more and more women begin to feel the stress and exhaustion when they play multiple roles.
The image for women of the 1950s was the domesticated housewife and mother who cooked, cleaned, and sewed. The vogue woman of today is proud while possessing the role as career woman and mother, wife, and domestic organizer. Yet, the main thing that has really changed for the modern woman is the fact that her workload has doubled from the duality of her role. The effects of this duality are being felt through stress, and unfairness.
A recent study has shown that that 68% of women see a conflict between working and raising a family. It is no wonder since large amounts of stress stem from a woman's professional career in collaboration with her role as housekeeper and mother. A study in 1997 by the Canadian Review of Sociology and Anthropology found said, "Stress appears to be strongly related to being employed outside found said, "Stress appears to be strongly related to being employed outside the home and is more strongly felt by women working more hours, especially those working full-time." The 2001 U.S. Current Population Survey found that many women wish to have fewer office hours. More and more women want to cut work hours because they find it difficult to take care of household responsibilities while maintaining a career. The Female Lifestyle Survey of Great Britain 2004 found that 86% of full time working women did most of the housework and 77% did most of the child rearing, which; has made them quite exhausted.

Sunlight is solar energy. Sunlight is needed for growing plants that you eat to get energy. Sunlight is also used to make clean electricity. Burning fossil fuels to make electricity pollutes our atmosphere and rivers. Fossil fuels are expensive and limited sources of energy. Nuclear fission is used to create enormous amount of heat and electricity. However, nuclear fission forms dangerous radioactive waste.
Sunlight offers many ways to get energy. A window can allow warm sunlight into your room. Solar water-heating systems can use sunlight to warm the water for your home, swimming pool and school. Sunlight also warms the Earth and causes wind. Electricity can be made by wind generators.
Photovoltaic, or PV system use a type of material that converts sunlight into electricity. PV systems can power your air conditioner or a satellite like the International Space Station PV systems are also used to run a calculator, recharge cell phone, or even power lightweight cars.
Sunlight is also changed into electricity by concentrating solar power or CSP systems. CSP systems have mirrors that focus the sunlight. The concentrated sunlight turns water into steam which turns a turbine that is connected to an electric generator. A CSP system usually uses sunlight to make steam. CSP power plants can store large amount of heat. The stored heat is used to make electricity at night. During cloud days, many CSP plants can also bum natural gas to provide the heat that is used to turn water into steam.
Sunlight provides the energy needed to grow plants and make large amount of environmentally friendly heat and electricity. Solar energy can provide power today and for a long time in the future.
